Trace · Support

Trace is a small app made by one person. If something doesn't work, or you have a question, write directly.

📧 hello@kemal-sanli.com

I read every email. Replies usually within 1-2 days.

Common questions

Where is my data stored?  On your device, and in your personal iCloud account if you have iCloud enabled. Trace has no servers.

Can I get my data out of Trace? Right now there's no export feature. This is on the roadmap for a future update.

Can I cancel my subscription? Yes. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancel from there.

What if I bought Lifetime and want a refund? Apple handles all refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.

I have a feature suggestion. Send it to the email above. Reading suggestions is one of the best parts of building this.

Understanding the tags

Trace uses seven fixed tags. They're broad on purpose — almost anything you might promise yourself fits into one of them.

Make — creating, producing, bringing something into existence. Writing, drawing, coding, designing, cooking from scratch, composing.

Earn — work, income, professional responsibility. Replying to a client, sending an invoice, preparing a presentation, doing the job that pays.

Move — the body, physical action. A walk, a workout, stretching, yoga, climbing stairs, time outside.

Clear — removing, tidying, simplifying. Inbox to zero, cleaning a room, throwing things out, organizing files.

Learn — taking something in, growing knowledge or skill. Reading, a course, a podcast, an article, practicing a language.

Reach — connecting, reaching out, relating to others. Calling a friend, writing to someone, scheduling a coffee, sending a thoughtful message.

Hold — sustaining, returning to, inward. Meditation, journaling, prayer, therapy, rest, the small daily practices.

The boundaries between these aren't strict. "Call mom" could be Reach (connecting) or Hold (a regular practice). Pick whichever feels right in the moment. Over time, Trace reads the patterns you make.

Can I rename the tags?

Yes, with Trace Pro. Open the Mirror, tap Settings, then tap any tag to give it a name that fits how you think. The original meaning stays — only the label changes — so insights and history remain consistent.
