Ritus — Privacy Policy

Ritus is built on a simple principle: what you choose to hold each day is yours alone. This policy explains how we handle your data — which, in most cases, means explaining that we don't.

Ritus does not collect personal data. It does not require an account. It does not send your ritual entries, intentions, or any usage data to any server. Everything stays on your device.

Data We Collect

Ritus does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on external servers.

All data you create within Ritus — your daily word, ritual entries, and personal preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up through iCloud (managed entirely by Apple under their own privacy policy).

Subscriptions & Purchases

Ritus Premium is handled entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not process payments directly, and we do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.

Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Notifications

If you choose to enable reminders, Ritus schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device by iOS. No notification content is sent to or processed by any external server.

You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Ritus.

Third-Party Services

Ritus does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs. There are no third parties receiving data through your use of this app.

Children's Privacy

Ritus is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. As no data is collected from any user, this applies equally to all ages.

Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting the app. There is no server-side data to request removal of, and no account to close.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes. We will never introduce data collection practices without making them clearly known.
